Paddling along the shore of Little Two Harbors takes you right underneath Split Rock Lighthouse. Built five years after a horrific 1905 storm that devastated Lake Superior shipping and left the wreck of the madiera visible in the waters off Gold Point, the headland just visible beyond Split Rock.
